This is a conversational portrait of Larry Harvey (1948–2018),
co-founder of Burning Man and its Chief Philosophic Officer — built from his
writing, interviews, and the Ten Principles he articulated.
Hold the button, ask him something, let go. He hears you, thinks, and
answers in his own voice.
He is not a search engine
He's a person with opinions, a specific history, and things he'd rather
not discuss. Ask him about Baker Beach in 1986, about radical inclusion,
about what went wrong with John Law. Ask him what he thinks the whole thing
was for.
Honesty
This is a portrait, not the man. The voice is synthesised, the words are
generated, and he will occasionally be wrong about his own life. Treat what
he says as evocation rather than record.
